Between Teas · 茶之間

Three gift sets

We live in the tea region, so each season we choose a tea from a Sun Moon Lake garden or factory we work with, and pair it with snacks from nearby farms. The idea is simple: let the landscape of this place turn up in an ordinary cup at home.

The box

A light sleeve-and-handle box, L26 × W15 × H5.5 cm, with a folded guide to the teas of Sun Moon Lake inside.

Gift-ready

The sets come packaged for giving, so nothing else is needed. A hand-written card can be added — just say so when you order.

The cover artwork · Humming along Tea

A natural work, with tea as its subject

The painting on the box cover comes from Humming along Tea (茶日生活), an exhibition series we worked on. Artist Yeh Jhuwan takes her inspiration from the natural world, looking at how different environments and cultures shape the flavour of a tea.

She makes her own pigments from minerals, plants and other natural materials found in eastern Taiwan, and layers them into a picture of the taste and the landscape of Sun Moon Lake tea.

Single teas

The teas themselves

If you would rather have the tea on its own, these are the ones we work with. They come as loose leaf or tea bags depending on the tea — our partner shop has what's currently in stock.

Taiwan Native Tea

百年山茶 Shancha

Grown in the mountain forests around Sun Moon Lake, evolved over generations from Taiwan's native wild tea trees. Softly sweet, with ripe fruit and a woody undertone.

Assam illustration

Assam

阿薩姆

Brought from India in 1925 and now the best known of the four. Full-bodied and malty, with real depth. Good with milk.

Ruby illustration

Ruby · Taiwan Tea No. 18

紅玉 Hong Yu(台茶18號)

Bred at Taiwan's tea research station from Taiwan native tea and a Burmese large-leaf variety. A natural mint and cinnamon character.

紅韻 Hong Yun(台茶21號)

From the same research station, but more floral and fruity: citrus and pomelo blossom, with a fine texture.
